This spirited chart draws heavily on West African triplet and 12/8 rhythms underneath a familiar holiday melody. Written in 3/4 time, the rhythm section leads the way with extra percussion (cowbell, sleigh bells, cabasa, shakers etc)
The guitar part is written in an African Soukous style. The ensemble is mostly in unison and close triadic harmony. This arrangement should be a joyful party, inspiring the audience to dance, clap and celebrate the season!
